I didn't see John saying he hated WASP's.  I saw him saying that he
hated wasps.  The use of lower case letters would suggest that it wasn't
an acronym, but the insect to which he was referring.

I'm sorry I don't like wasps, it's only that when they sting me, I get a violent
allergic reaction and I start to swell up.  I still don't like wasps even though
they make you feel welcome in North America.
